Why Criticism Hurts and How to Turn It Into Your Superpower

Handling criticism or rejection can be tough, especially at work. But it doesn’t have to hold you back, it can be your superpower.

In my latest video, I talk about a challenge many of us face but rarely discuss openly: being sensitive to criticism or rejection. Whether it’s hesitating to share your ideas, fearing negative feedback, or overthinking a tough conversation, it’s something we’ve all struggled with at some point.

The reality is, rejection and criticism are part of leadership. It’s not about avoiding them—it’s about learning how to navigate them effectively.

In the video, I share practical strategies to manage sensitivity to rejection, including:

✅ Reframing rejection as a growth opportunity.

✅ Separating your self-worth from your work.

✅ Preparing mentally for potential resistance.

✅ Seeking balanced feedback to maintain perspective.

✅ Practicing self-compassion to build resilience.

✅ Focusing on the bigger picture and your overall journey.

Leadership is about growing stronger through challenges, and rejection is just one step on the path to growth. By changing how you approach it, you can lead with more confidence and resilience.

🌟 I’d love to hear your thoughts. How do you handle criticism or rejection as a leader? Do you have strategies that have helped you navigate sensitive moments? Let’s share and support each other in the comments!
